Community First provides free, 24-hour access to interpreter services at no cost for Community First Members with limited English proficiency (LEP) or who use sign language. Interpreters are available in more than 200 languages by request.

Language and identity are closely related. We want to equip our network of Providers and their staff with the means necessary to communicate with patients in the language and format they are most comfortable with so that they feel understood and respected.

This and other resources have been created to help your team develop targeted interventions to promote better health equity.

  • Most Common Languages Spoken by Community First Members: Community First has compiled data about the most common languages spoken by our Members, reported through each of the eight counties we serve, and broken down non-geographically based on race, ethnicity, and language.
  • Addressing Non-Medical Drivers of Health (NMDOH): This guide is designed to share insight into the health impacts of non-medical drivers of health, screen Members for NMDOH and help you connect them to resources, provide resources for Members diagnosed with chronic diseases, advance the health of soon-to-be  and new moms and their newborn babies, and map out ways to improve their social well-being.
